Browser Extension Privacy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
This page covers data handling for the FounderFunnel browser extension specifically. It supplements (and is referenced from) our main privacy policy. If anything is unclear, email sharbelayy@gmail.com.
What the extension does
The extension injects an “FF” button into the X.com reply composer. When you click it, the extension reads the source tweet you're replying to (its text, author handle, and tweet id) and sends that to FounderFunnel servers to generate a draft reply in your voice. You then choose to insert it into the X compose box, edit it, regenerate, or dismiss it.
What the extension reads from X
The extension reads the following from x.com, ONLY when you click the FF button:
- The text of the source tweet you are replying to.
- The author handle of that tweet (e.g. @example).
- The tweet id (the numeric id at the end of its URL).
The extension does NOT read your DMs, your timeline feed, other people's replies, your bookmarks, your search history, or any other content from X. It does not run on any pages outside x.com and twitter.com.
What gets sent to FounderFunnel
When you click the FF button, the extension sends one HTTPS request to app.founderfunnel.com/api/extension/reply containing:
- The three fields listed above (source tweet text, author handle, tweet id).
- Any previous reply attempts from the same session (used as anti-repetition signal for the regenerate button).
- Your existing FounderFunnel session cookie, so the server can identify your account and use your voice profile.
The server then generates a draft reply using Anthropic Claude (Sonnet 4.6) and your voice profile, and returns the draft to your browser.
What gets stored
Each generated draft is saved to your FounderFunnel account as a Draft row, with:
- The draft text.
- A reference to the source tweet (handle and id, so you can review later).
- A timestamp.
These persist as long as your FounderFunnel account exists. Deleting your account deletes all of them. See the main privacy policy for retention details.
The extension itself does NOT store any data in browser local storage, sync storage, cookies, or IndexedDB.
What gets sent to third parties
The text of the source tweet (and your voice context) is sent to Anthropic via OpenRouter for inference. Per their API terms, your data is not used to train models. No analytics or advertising trackers run from the extension.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not run third-party tracking pixels.
- We do not log keystrokes outside the FF button click flow.
- We do not access your X account credentials at any point.
Permissions explained
- x.com, twitter.com: required to inject the FF button and read the source tweet you're replying to.
- app.founderfunnel.com: required to call the FounderFunnel API for reply generation.
Your rights
You can disable or remove the extension at any time from chrome://extensions. You can request deletion of all generated drafts by emailing sharbelayy@gmail.com or deleting your FounderFunnel account.
